The County of Washington, Virginia is currently accepting sealed bids from qualified Contractors for the Demolition of the Elliott Building, 179 and 181 East Main Street, Abingdon, Virginia 24210.  An Invitation for Bids packet containing instructions, qualifications, and specifications may be obtained by contacting the Department of Budget & Finance at County Government Center; 1 Government Center Place, Suite A; Abingdon, Virginia 24210; or phone 276-525-1310.

 A mandatory meeting and pre-bid walk-through will be held, convening on sidewalk in front of Elliott Building, 181 East Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210 at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021.

Sealed bids will be accepted until 3:00 p.m., on Friday, January 29, 2021.  Bids must be made using specified bid forms, and may be mailed or delivered to the address above for the Department of Budget & Finance.  For personal delivery of bid form and references, please call (276) 525-1300 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to schedule a time for delivery.  Bids received after the deadline, postmarks notwithstanding, shall be rejected.  The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. A public bid opening will be held in the Board of Supervisor’s Auditorium, Government Center Building, 1 Government Center Place, Abingdon, Virginia 24210, at 3:00 p.m., January 29, 2021, or as soon thereafter as may be held.
