Solid Waste Transfer Station Operator/Driver
The County of Washington, Virginia is presently seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Solid Waste Transfer Station Operator/Driver. Under the supervision of the Solid Waste Director, assists with the operation of Washington County Virginia’s Solid Waste Transfer Station and related facilities.
- Operates heavy and light equipment, vehicles and appropriate equipment necessary for solid waste disposal operations and transport.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and involves moderate physical effort.
- General knowledge of the operations for large and small equipment and vehicles as well as computer equipment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license. A valid Virginia Commercial Driver’s License with at least 1 year of experience in the operation of large transport vehicles is preferred.
Job Status: Full Time/Non-Exempt
