Washington County would like to inform contractors, developers, and the public of the following updates regarding Stormwater plan review and inspection responsibilities:
All erosion and sediment control plan reviews and inspections will continue to be managed by Washington County, as mandated by state law.
All new stormwater management plans must be submitted directly to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) for review and approval – Please visit www.deq.virginia.gov or contact Carol Arnold at Carol.Arnold@deq.virginia.gov
All stormwater inspections will be conducted by DEQ.
Please ensure all future submissions and project coordination follow these updated procedures to maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
