The Board of Supervisors of Washington County, Virginia, hereby gives notice of its intent to conduct a public hearing at its meeting on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as may be heard regarding a proposed ordinance titled:

An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 38 of the Code of the County of Washington, Virginia, to Authorize Video Monitoring and Civil Penalty to Enforce Law against Passing Stopped School Buses

Adoption of the ordinance would allow the Washington County School System to use video monitoring to record images of vehicles that pass school buses in violation of law and to issue civil penalties of $250 based on such images to the owners of such vehicles.
