Randy L. Pennington to serve as Interim Supervisor for B-11 Election District.

At its meeting on Tuesday, January 24, 2011, the Board of Supervisors, by unanimous vote, selected Randy L. Pennington to serve as the interim supervisor for the B-11 Election District.  This position resulted from the previous B-11 supervisor, Nicole Price's, election to the position of Commonwealth Attorney prior to the end of her term of office as a member of the Board.  Mr. Pennington will act with the same rights and responsibilities as an elected member until a special election is held for selection of a supervisor for the remainder of Ms. Price's term of office, through December 31, 2013.  A petition to schedule the special election is pending in Washington County Circuit Court.

The Board of Supervisors thanks all interim position applicants for their willingness to serve the citizens of the County.
