The Office of Commonwealth's Attorney is responsible for the prosecution of all criminal cases occurring in Washington County. The Commonwealth's Attorney is elected at-large for a four year term and presently employees a staff of six, including two Assistant Commonwealth's Attorneys.

It is the policy of the Office of Commonwealth's Attorney to aggressively prosecute criminal offenses and to seek sentences that ensure the public safety. We seek fair and equitable treatment for victims and witnesses, including restitution in appropriate cases.
