  • SECTION 54.1-1111 Affidavit To be completed by unlicensed persons desiring to act as their own contractor for the purposes of obtaining a Building Permit or Electrical Permit. (Note: Consultation with County Building Official is strongly recommended before attempting construction-related work as permitted pursuant to Sec. 54.1-1111 of the 1950 Code of Virginia.)

  • County Application for Land-Disturbing Permit is used where more than 10,000 sq ft of ground will be disturbed for new construction. An Erosion and Sediment Control Plan must be submitted along with application in order to obtain a Land-Disturbing Permit. This is not required for single-family residential housing construction or location of manufactured housing units.
